She Taught Me More About Love Than I Ever Taught Her

I used to think my job as a mother was to teach my daughter everything she needed to know about this world.
How to be kind. How to be brave. How to love others well.
Then I lost her — and I realized something that breaks me and heals me at the same time:
Addy already knew.
She Was Always That Kid
You know the one. The child who notices when someone is sitting alone at lunch. The one who remembers the name of every person she meets, and actually asks how they're doing — and means it.
Addy didn't just move through this world. She lit it up.
Her kindness wasn't something she performed. It wasn't taught in a classroom or rehearsed. It came from somewhere deep inside of her — this quiet, powerful knowing that every single person she encountered mattered.
And they did. They do. Because of her, I believe that more than ever.
The Day Everything Changed
There are no words that fully hold the weight of losing a child.
I won't pretend there are.
What I will tell you is this: after Addy was gone, I had a choice. I could let grief swallow me whole — and there were days, I won't lie, where I nearly let it. Or I could take everything she gave this world and refuse to let it disappear.
I chose her.
I chose With Love, Addy.
Why I Started This
Mental health. Bullying. Loneliness. These aren't abstract issues. They are the invisible battles that children — our children — are fighting right now, today, in classrooms and hallways and bedrooms with the door closed.
Addy's story is tied to these battles.
And if her story can save even one child from feeling unseen, unheard, or completely alone — then her light is still working in this world.
That's why we exist.
With Love, Addy raises awareness about mental health. We stand against bullying. We support underprivileged children with school lunches, school fees, and the supplies they need to show up and feel like they belong.
Because every child deserves that. Addy believed that. And so do I.

What I Want Every Parent to Read Right Now
If you are reading this and you have a child — please hear me.
Check in on them. Not just "how was your day?" Check in. Sit with them. Put your phone down. Ask the harder questions. Ask who makes them feel good. Ask who makes them feel small. Ask if they're okay — and then wait, really wait, for the honest answer.
Mental health struggles in children don't always look like what we expect. Sometimes it's the quietest kid in the room. Sometimes it's the one who seems fine. Sometimes it's the one everyone loves.
We cannot afford to assume our kids are okay just because they're not saying otherwise.
Ask. Listen. Love loudly.
What Addy Would Want
She would not want you to feel sad when you see her name.
She would want you to smile. She would want you to go do something kind for someone today — not tomorrow, today. She would want you to reach out to the friend you've been thinking about. To tell someone they matter. To show up for a kid who needs it.
She would want her life to mean something beyond her years.
And because of every single person who has supported With Love, Addy — it does.
You Are Part of This
When you shop with us, you're not just buying a hoodie or a card deck. You are saying: mental health matters. Kindness matters. Kids matter.
A portion of every purchase goes directly toward our mission — because Addy's legacy isn't just something we carry in our hearts. It's something we carry into action.
If you've ever felt moved by her story, if you've ever lost someone too soon, if you believe in a world where no child feels alone — you already belong here.
One Last Thing
There is a line I come back to when the grief gets heavy.
Everything we do is in her honor. Everything we give is with love.
That's not just a tagline.
It's a promise I made to my daughter. And it's one I intend to keep — for as long as I am breathing, one act of kindness at a time.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for caring. Thank you for keeping her light alive with me.
With every ounce of love I have,
Addy's Mom 💜
